First summer show for Goresoerd!

We will play at Punk'n Roll festival which takes place in Kilingi-Nõmme on 22nd and 23rd of August. So make sure you include this event to your holiday plans. More information about festival fom their MySpace page.

Highly anticipated gig finally announced!

Anal Cunt [USA] alongside with Torsofuck [FIN] and Anal Nosorog [RUS] will come down to Estonia in the beginning of May. The concert will be held on 2nd of May @ Rockstar's and fortunately we have the opportunity to hit the stage with them. More info from this thread.

New promotional single out!

We are proud to announce that finally our new promotional single has been let out. It contains four brand new songs:

1. Gay Bar (Electric Six cover)
2. Pop Rock Cowboy
3. Branchmetal Ode (Martin L.Goresoerd Remix by Forgotten Sunrise)
4. I Wish To Love Myself

It was recorded by Meelis Tauk at Rockhouse studio and all songs were mastered by Kristo Kotkas at Sinusoid studio. A sticker will be also given with single. So if you think you can help us by promoting Goresoerd abroad, contact us or Nailboard Records in order to receive this single.

Black Christmas!

Just before the new year, we are heading back to Tartu where (exactly one year ago) our first show took place. Our companions this time will be Nihilistikrypt and Suricate. This is the place to be when you are bored from traditional white christmas! More information here.

First video release!

The full-length and uncensored version of Goresoerd new video "Supermarket Mid-Prices" is now available on this address. This masterpiece was filmed and edited by our friend Mairold. Don't hesitate to download!

Nailboard Magazine sleeve CD is now equipped with tho Goresoerd songs. The lucky two are " Like Lingerie For Hardworkers" and "For Idiots All Over The World". Magazine is available all over Estonia. You can read more about that edition from here.

Our first metalcamp performance!

A new show scheduled!

You better start working out your moshing muscles coz we are planning to bring down Nõmme Cult on 9th of February along with Plekksaapad, Human Ground and Morigan. Demolishment starts at 19.00 and will cost you 100 EEK.

Goresoerd nailed!

Estonian record label Nailboard Records recently nailed us. Quote from their site: "So it is with bitterness that we are now forced to admit defeat to something particularly gruesome and atrocious. In order to (literally) save our own hides, we reluctantly shook hands with a quintuplet of zombified veterans of the local metal scene, neatly fitting under the handle of Goresoerd."

Nekromantik ilmus!

Teadmise, et loodus päris tühja kohta kaua ei salli, omandasime juba põhikoolis, mõni ehk varemgi ja mujal. Plaadimängijas oleval üllitisel aga puuduvad otsesed sidemed elusa loodusega ja nii võib ehmatamata CD-mängija play-nuppu pressida. Häbeneda ei ole ei siin- ega sealpool optikasüsteemi midagi, võite julgelt ka volume +-nuppu all hoida või paremale keerata. Mõte on selles, et just valjemal ja korduval kuulamisel leiab kõrvaklappide vahele pressitud elund pisitasa üles väiksemadki "meloodia"-nüansid ja käigud. Ja nii lühikese eepose kohta neid jätkub. Märkasin end korduvalt avastamas mitmesuguseid dramaatilise või isegi müstilise maitsega alatoone ja vahepalasid, mis olid sujuvalt ja stiilile ebatüüpiliselt muusikasse sulandatud. Nii muutus plaat iga korraga pisut huvitavamaks ja sellist nähtust gore-metali maailmas sagedasti ei kohta. Mõnevõrra raskem oli sundida mõistust sobitama kuuldu juurde nihilistlikku huumorit, aga tasub vaid avada plaadi vahevoldik, kui selgub, et kaine ja külma tõsidusega plaati võtta ei saa ega tohigi. Bändi fotosessiooni tulemused ja uuenduslik lähenemine T-särgi disainile väärivad ainult siiraid kiidusõnu. Vähe on Eestis neid tegijaid, kes ei jookse aasta aasta järel sissetallatud radadel. Kivipead!

Aga tagasi plaadi juurde. Saund oli meeldivalt jõuline ja bassiderohke, nagu rusikareegel nõuabki. Vokaalosa paistab silma mõõduka mitmekülgsuse ja väljapeetud refräänidega (nagu peabki). Trummid olid programmitud piisavalt osavalt, et ära petta Suffocationi nn pühapäevakuulajaid. Nii et tehke järele või makske! Ja tökatit kah — vana viga on teha liiga-kiiresti-sai-läbi-plaati. Aga sellega paistsid juba paarkümmend aastat tagasi silma Slayer ja Bulldozer, teistest rääkimata. Isiklikult oleksin ka kõlapilti pisut selgemaks sättinud, aga mida ma ei ole õppinud, sellega ei kiitle kah!

Noore kodumaa mastaape ja võimalusi arvestades tuleb ettevalmistus tunnistada igati korralikuks. End vägistades ei saa ühestki plaadist ega bändist asja, ainult tühjad pudelid ja paistes pea vahivad peeglist vastu! Boonuseks lubatakse juba täispika plaadi valmimist vastavalt uuele plaadilepingule, mis teeb ürgeestlaslikult kadedaks mõnegi memmepoja. Või hoopis uhkeks? Kuuldavasti pole Goresoerd enam sugugi ainuke ega viimane projekt kodumaal, mis viljeleb pärasoolemetalit, nagu ma lugupidavalt ja kompleksivabalt määratleksin gore-muusikat maakeeles.

Minu kokkuvõte on aga lühike ja terav nagu "Nekromantik" isegi, ehk — parafraseerides tuntud foobia- ning fiilia-asjatundjaid žurnaalist "DI" — tugev viis punkti viiest ja soovitus: ei sobi mitte tšikkide voodissemeelitamiseks! No vähemalt niikaua, kuni neil elu sees! Armastus aga on igavene, nii et labidas õlale ja küünlad tasku! Ja ära seda plaati tolmuma unusta!
